Medical Support

For many patients suffering from thalassemia, sickle cell anemia, leukemia, aplastic anemia, and other blood disorders, timely medical intervention is critical. However, the high cost of treatment often makes it inaccessible for underprivileged families.

How We Help:

  • Financial Assistance: We raise funds, educate and assist patients about various government schemes, to cover treatment costs, including bone marrow transplants, chemotherapy, and specialized care.
  • Guidance & Resources: We assist families in navigating the complex medical process, helping them find the right doctors, hospitals, and treatment options.
  • Follow-up Care: We support post-treatment care to ensure better recovery and long-term health outcomes for patients.

Promote Bone Marrow Donations

A bone marrow or stem cell transplant is often the only cure for patients with severe blood disorders. However, 70% of patients do not find a matching donor within their family, making unrelated donor registries crucial. Unfortunately, India has one of the lowest donor registration rates, creating a major challenge for those in need.

Our Initiatives:

  • Awareness Campaigns: We conduct educational programs to encourage people to register as stem cell donors.
  • Donor Registration Drives: In collaboration with stem cell banks and transplant organizations, we organize donor registration camps to increase the pool of potential matches.
  • Support for Patients Seeking Matches: We help patients connect with international donor registries when a match is not available in India.

Stay and Nutrition

For children undergoing long-term treatment, access to proper accommodation and nutrition is just as important as medical care. Families often travel long distances for specialized treatments and struggle with housing, food, and transportation costs.

What We Provide:

  • Accommodation Assistance: We arrange accommodation facilities for families who need to stay close to treatment centers.
  • Nutritional Support: Many children battling blood disorders suffer from malnutrition, which affects their treatment outcomes. We help arrange nutritional supplements and meals to support their recovery.
  • Emotional & Psychological Care: Being away from home and undergoing treatment can be emotionally overwhelming for young patients. We create support groups, counseling sessions, and recreational activities to help them cope with the challenges of their illness.
